David L. Stein, D.M.D, F.A.G.D.

Dentist/Owner

Known for his easygoing nature and wry sense of humor, Dr. Stein joined the practice in 1981 after a two-hour meeting and “a handshake” at the home of then-owner Dr. Edward McComsey. He took the helm in 2000 when Dr. McComsey retired, renaming the practice Riverfront Dental Care.

He’s wanted to be a dentist since he was a teenager. After his father died when Dr. Stein was 17, the first adult role model who had a positive influence on him was his family dentist. That was inspiration enough to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine after graduating from Lebanon Valley College with a B.S. in biology. He completed a general-practice residency at Monmouth Medical Center and later earned a fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry in 1991.

While he loves the precision and artistry of his profession, Dr. Stein is especially passionate about the relationships he’s built over the years with both staff and patients—and he’s enjoyed serving the generations of families who’ve been loyal patients since Dr. McComsey’s tenure.

In addition to providing excellent dental care, his goal is to maintain a warm, friendly atmosphere where people can feel relaxed and welcome. Plus, he likes anyone who will laugh at his jokes!

When not in the office, Dr. Stein enjoys playing keyboards, watching baseball (if the Phillies are winning) and enjoys spending time with his grandchildren Rex, Alex and Fiona.
